Hey guys, been searching around for a bit and can't quite seem to find the answer to my question. I know how much power can be made on the stock turbo with a 60-1 cold side upgrade, plus the porting info of the wastegate and what not.

I've got to pull my motor apart and rebuild it so I was thinking about going in and giving it a mild streetport, but then questions about the limit of the turbo came up. Will a streetported engine just completely overwhelm the turbo, or would I be good with some serious porting of the wastegate? Or perhaps an S5 hotside instead of the S4.

i take it you want to keep the car relatively stock-ish?

 

I'll take it to where ever the current turbo will take it. Doing lots of cooling mods. Just making it as reliable as possible so it can beat on. In the process just trying to make things efficient, hence the porting questions. Just wondering if the stock S4 hotside, even when ported, wont be too small for a mild street port.

 

Think that turbo will be good for like 300rwhp or so since it has the stock hot side. Think the street port will make it spool faster but it was pretty quick when i had it just done run the stock injectors at stock boost on that turbo since i found out the hard way.

 

Haha, yeah I'm making sure of that. Got some injectors in that I'm going to have to mod to fit. Going to pick up some 1680s to use with megasquirt to hold me over for a bit.

 

I did 340rwhp on stock ports at 14psi
there's a whole 60-1 thread mate. Guys have done 400 rwhp with porting with them.
