Ernie- why are you denying that your turbo, at the very least, uses a Hoslet compressor housing. It's very obvious to everyone else. Are you offended that your turbo uses Hoslet parts? Besides, wasn't it determined in the last thread that Ray mates a Hoslet housing with a KKK compressor wheel?

Let's just say Ray is very good at relabeling stuff to increase his profit:

1. Koyo radiator with a sticker over the Koyo Logo then it becomes his competition radiator and sold for twice the retail price.

2. HKS SS manifold, not relabeled but he won't tell you it's from HKS and sold for more than retail.

3. Power FC with his sticker on it with his commander tuning which makes the car run so rich that you actually lose horsepower. This bull **** tuning is going to cost you $350. You might as well just increase the PIM setting to 20% on all the rpm to get the same effect and save yourself $350 and use that $350 to put your car on the dyno to have some real tuning done and you might have some change left.

It does not surprise me that IF he actually sells the Holset turbo as KKK. Maybe KKK is just his own code for the turbo as he likes to relabel stuff. Maybe it's not KKK, the turbo company but KKK from Ray's special spec. He could have named it XXX, AAA, or whatever but I guess KKK looks and sounds the best.

I have the KKK Stage 1 for my FC.
I don't really care if its a Holset or not. Its a great turbo.

The reason I posted was just to find out of anyone could confirm the rumour that the SR turbo's aren't really KKK...that's all, end of story

 

No it wasn't directed to you. And it seems I also was mistaken. I got news from a very reliable source that we both are correct. It appears as though the compressor housing is from a Holset and the turbine section and rest of the turbo are all KKK.

 

That is exactly what I said. I thought this was resovled in the last thread about this contraversy.

 

any one want to buy a kkk k27. i have a fully rebuilt (gcg turbos) one with new ceramic coated manifold to suit series6. it produced well over 300rwkw on my car. attached is an old photo.

I see that Rotaryturbo has been banned and his response deleted. WTF? I also see that ErnieT is a moderator.

Rotaryturbo is an upstanding guy. He's helped many people throughout the rotary community including myself. He's debunked many myths about the limit's of performance of various mods in his screaming 11sec FC showcar. He is alway's willing to share his knowlege, as he was doing on this post.

ErnieT, I sure hope you visit the KC site. I'll gladly abuse my Admin status in the same way you have here.

Does anyone else agree on this? Of course, this too may be deleted and me banned as well. I think some phone calls are in order.

I completely agree with Scott on this. Ben is an outstanding guy, and is very well known. He's always willing to share his knowledge; he's one of the guys in our community who has tried more than just a few setups on his car.

Banning him probably wasn't a good idea, let alone deleting his posts.

I absolutely hate to jump into stuff like this, but I know how he must feel right now. I used to be a moderator of an "enemy" forum, and for this reason I had many privilidges revoked from my account. I have been a member of this forum for 4 years now, and I had to create a new account just so I could POST!

Anyway, if his account could be restored, I think we all would greatly appreciate it.

Hey Ernie, how old are you anyway? I don't remember someone getting so upset and throwing a temper tantrum since elementary school. It's too bad you can only dish it out and not take it, because people like rotary turbo have been helping a lot of other people on this forum as well as others with advice. This guy has been working on RX7's for a long time. His personal car is one of the best 2nd gen examples in the country.
BTW he has never had a shop do any work for him...........Can you say the same?

I joined this forum to get good advise and such, but people like ernie that pile on the crap make this place unpleasent. Don't we all have a common interest??? I think the B.S should be left at the door.

 

You guys need to take a chill pill. I stated what I thought was true and was wrong and admitted to it. As for name calling, I didn't call anyone names, I simply stated what I though people acted like, posting just to make a post. And for the record I admitted to making a mistake. More than most people do on here. Yes, I did delete his post, because he was making threats in it.

 

I am closing the thread because it serving no useful purpose anymore, but a bunch of childish behavior.
