Stock Wastegate questions
I have a series 4 turbo currently installed. I am getting crazy boost up to 12-14 PSI with a ported wastegate.
My question is this, I have a series 5 Turbo to install that is ported.
I want to run about 5 PSI for day to day driving and use my Apexi AVC-R to raise it to about 10-12 PSI when I wish to get on it.
Since the stock wastegate for the S5 is set for 8PSI can I use the wastegate actuator/diaphram from the S4 to lower the boost level?

550 Primaries and 680 bsecondaries
No emissions or rats nest
80MM downpipe back CorkSport echaust
3 Inch custom TID with HKS Filter
SAFC
AVC-R
Walbro 255LP Fuel Pump
Open Air BOV
Crane HI-6
LM-1 Wideband O2 sensor and datalogger
Currently under hard load at 12 PSI I am getting around 10.4/1 AFM so I am sure the mix is rich enough, just don't like having any control over boost, removed AVC-R to make sure it wasn't effecting boost control and the boost is staying the same...

Both S4 and S5 wg springs are the same... 5lbs. The reason S5 TII's get 7lbs stock boost is because there is a factory boost controller that raises boost. However, your car is an S4, so when you put the S5 turbo in a stock S4, boost should still be at 5lbs.
