Starting my single e85 fd

Hey All,

Working on my car for once...

Plan on running a 4088 custom garrett built for my project with Turbosmart sponcering me I have all of there products for this setup, There quality is not matched in my humble opinion....And I have used everything out there once at least. All of AZRR products going into the engine setup .....so on

My goal here is to show the entire build from the start.

I am porting my engine and just finished porting the collector for our dual wastegate manifold and the cvar just cae out of the booth

Lots more detail and photos to come

Gorgeous workmanship. Welds in particular. It's hard to tell from the photo, but it looks like the cold side of the rear wastegate is exposed to radiated heat from the rear runner - are there plans for a heat shield there?

They will be just fine, turbosmart gates can take massive amounts of heat not to mention the manifold and down pipe are getting wrapped

Couple pumps have it, but most of us buy it by the drum (55g)

Hey Glen the engine you built still running strong with 7k on there. Broke it in with gas for 900 miles been running e85 ever since. You told me your port job won't pass emissions, but it did!

Looks awesome glen.

In my modest opinion one of the best rotary built engines the money can buy.

Hope she kicks the streets soon.

that's due to the e85, not the ports.

I actually tested 4 times. gas and e85 had similar failing results. The 4th try I wired in an air pump with e85 and blew zeros. It idles happy at 11 afrs 1100 rpm. For idle test I leaned it out to 12.5 afr and made a big vacuum leak (very jumpy 1600 rpm). For the 25mph test I was leaning it out while on their dyno to 15 afr. Car is not fully tuned yet, but is drivable.

What kind of fuel setup are you going with for the E85 and what are your power goals?

wow, interesting findings. always thought e85 greatly reduces emissions as it is cleaner burning than gas.
