No it won't be too much of a turbo for a stock ported motor. I pm'd you back BTW. Sound Performance, like I said on the other thread, is practically the same thing as Percision Turbos, which is the same thing as Garrett. SP makes a lot of stuff for Supras, that's why you hear about them more on the Supra forums. I know your brother sure has! I'd personally go with a .81 to keep lag to a minimum. Quite a few members are running that 67mm turbo on here, kabooski, Karl Byck, CrispR6, Scrub, just to name a few. First two guys made over 500rwhp.

Just like FD REY said.

SP=Precision=Garrett.

I personaly believe the SP63 is the best turbo for a 13b running up to about 20 psi. It offers the best of both worlds. Quick spool-up and top-end power. I have done a couple of cars with the said turbo all making around 450 rwhp plus 17-18 psi on pump gas. Directfreak just made 492rwhp at 20.5psi with the same turbo.

i think im gonna go with the 67 based on the price i can get it for , as well as how much HP it can make compared to the 63. and it still has relativly quick spool times from what i see?

anyknow know about the manifold ^^^

It depends on the compressor cover. If the regular HKS TO4-R can fit on it then it will fit. The Precision turbo have have a couple of different covers based on power requirments. It basicaly comes with a TO4-E, 60-1 or Precision high flow designed compressor style housing. I've heard of some people having clearance problems hith the high flow housing. The other two should fit without any problems. I mainly use the 60-1 style compressor cover for fit also. The turbo can also be ordered with any type of tubine selection you desire. I mainly use a .81/P-trim with a tangential style housing. Precision is not a fan of divided turbine housings due to reasons I'm not going to get into so if you desire one you can custom order one from them or Garrett.

If you're going to be running over 20psi then go with the 67. I have not have any luck with the 63 holding boost at high rpms on heavly ported applications. I've seen the 63 hold 30psi on a 4cyl application making around 550FWHP but never on a 13B. The 67 is the way to go for power above 500RWHP on a rotary.

just run a gt40 standard bearing. it'll be the same or better for power and spool than any sp turbo of the same size and it'll be cheaper. the 67mm bw/schwitzer turbos are even cheaper and they make alot of power, but the spool suffers a little due to their large exhaust a/r's.

I sold my old SP74 to an FD owner... I think it would be a great turbo for a rotary.

SP doesn't make anything. They rename PTE turbos to SP names. Nothing more nothing less.
