Nah, I wanted better low-end power (3k-4k) than I had now. Basically I was looking for the best compromise between street/road race/drag turbo. I couldn't get the bb GR67 through Gotham for many months b/c of the backup on the exhaust manifolds. I ended up going with the 500r with a full turbo-back 4" exhaust

NICE!! Are you going to dump your wastegate to atmosphere or going to plumb it back into the exhaust? Won't the 4" exhaust be louder than a 3"? Also what power gains would one see going to a 4" exhaust?

It's never been an option for me with the wg---I had to get it plumbed back. I think dumping it is suited only for race cars that don't see time on the street. 4" will be louder, but I am having a pair of magnaflow mufflers welded in (one in the midsection, one in the rear) which should keep the noise levels from being too ridiculous.

IIRC, when I was corresponding with another forum member he told me going from full 3" to full 4" gave him 450ish at 15 psi vs 450ish at 17 psi. I figured I'd give it a shot, I'm currently running straight 3" pipes with a blown out muffler, so I doubt it can get any louder
