how much power/torque? Do you drag race? Do you dump the clutch? How often?

Havnt started racing yet , It slips when im in third or fourth when I mash the gas and the boost builds to 15 psi , I'm not sure about the power yet , last trip to the dyno I made 350 at 6300 rpm (bad ignition system) , I have since made some upgrades , (Autronic R500 , Magnecor wires and MSD blaster SS coils and installed a fuel cooler) , I think its making more power , but I could be wrong , it certainly feels a lot stronger ( I anhialated a twin turbo Subaru Legacy the other night!) . Im going to take a closer look at it soon , I just realized that this problem only started after I serviced the clutch master and slave cylinders , maybe I just need to readjust the rod on the slave cylinder .

Turns out nothing is wrong ith the clutch , because of the previously faulty clutch cylinder/s , I had the rod on the slave cylinder adjusted to the max. position to get proger disengagement , I just readjusted it to the minimum position and the problem went away !!

I've had them slip way before that. They are ok clutches as long as sticky tires are not involved.

Little bit pricey, but it gives you a little bit more driveability if you street your monster.

A clutch rated at 500 ft # shouldn't be slipping at all in one of our cars, regardless of the disk facing material. The whole point of a multiple disc clutch is to provide the extra torque holding capacity at a reasonable plate pressure and, in this instance, reasonable smooth engagement.

One caveat, if the disc has been excessively heated by the unintended slippage, then some of the grip may be lost until the glaze is worn away--unless it's already been turned into charcoal.

I slip my 6 puck UNSPRUNG clutch all the time. Just feels like a harder clutch. And yes its a daily driver.

i just fried my Exedy Hyper Single cerametallic... i plan to replace it w a Exedy twin cerametallic. i was running 18.7 psi with methanol 1000 cc+. i guess it wasn't a surprise... it was a great clutch for anyone in the 400-450 range. i did have 10,000 easy miles on the disc.

^ that sucks to hear. I was hoping to down grade my twin disc to single hyper. The stiff pedal pressure is ok for pelasure driving but not fun for daily driving. I guess it could be worse with an ACT XT and 3 puck disc.

Always had great experiences with ACT clutches, but I don't know about the high horsepower, single turbo world. I'm sure the Xtreme would be just as high quality as their heavy duty street units.

Would it be possible to switch to a larger master cylinder with the twin/triple disc set-ups to counteract the really stiff pedal feel?

You'd want a smaller master to reduce pedal effort. I've never driven a multi-disc FD clutch, but the point is to get more clamping force without a crazy stiff pressure plate. Pedal effort should be reasonable.
