Question Smogging singles in CA? :)

I know there's an HKS kit that allows you to keep the airpump, so you should be able to pass, but what do all you other CA single turbo guys do? Are you pretty much stuck with removing them or 'buying' a smog certificate when it comes time to get smogged? Or can you find a place that doesn't know the difference and if it passes the dyno test then you're OK?

Curious because I see a turbo upgrade in my future (these Tarot cards are great!), and I want to keep the smogging pain down to a minimum without buying a certificate.

Me'thinks you are out of luck. I don't believe there is a single turbo kit that is CARB approved. Even if you have a kit that keeps the air pump, you will fail visual and the car will be quite suspect.
