Again. Use some reading comprehension and try not to lie.

You are changing words to mislead and you always fail to provide no data.

The quote I referenced said not to use for pressurized brake lines. Which is much higher pressure than fuel. That is the reason.

You conveniently re-worded the quote to be for "serious applications" and implied that to mean not for fuel.

You are just green with envy. It smells worse than bad fuel.

Maybe we'll get lucky and the mods will ban you for spamming.

And Holley does fuel injection not just carburetors. We are in 2021, not 1980.

I don't have any of their stuff. It's just the first of many place that popped up when looking up whether aluminum fuel lines were a hazard. The only places that show up warning against them are random people on forums like yourself that have no data. Aluminum fuel lines are also listed as legal in various professional racing rules.

Look at maxmillion's location... says he's from Lebanon. His use of proper grammar in the English language may not be up to standard because he likely speaks very little English. If it continues to be an issue I will intervene. But for now, let's just be gentleman about it and move past it.

Thanks, please do if needed. This has been a great thread and I'd like to keep it that way.

Thanks! And nothing car related in the near future. I'm sure I'll build another FD again at some point, but for the immediate near term future I'll be spending more time with my family on the new toy that I used the RX7 being sold to help pay for. I grew up on the lake here in GA and now only live (by design) about 5 minutes away from a boat ramp on Allatoona and am currently in the process of modifying my garage doors to fit this big guy into them at my house. Pictures below are from a couple weeks ago on Lake Chatuge in Hiawassee GA at a lake-house collectively owned by my family.

In a perfect world I'd have been able to keep my FD and buy the boat, but at 31 years old with a wife and a 2 year old son and little boy number 2 on the way it was either keep the FD and buy a cheaper boat OR sell the FD and buy something badass. I opted for the later as I rarely drove the car anymore and my biggest takeaway from the nearly 10 years I spent with it was what I learned. I'll always be wrenching, tuning and modifying something but it may be a while before I personally get back into the rotary world.

Man its been years since I've personally ridden and I've had spinal surgery since then. I'm really hoping my back holds up and there is only 1 way to find out. Its so weird that I can do all sorts of physical things without issue that you'd think would be a problem for it, but then random stuff like sitting down in my work chair or picking up my kid will cause it to hit a nerve resulting in me being on the floor for a while then limping around for a week. Its beyond weird what triggers is and what doesn't.

I do have old pics of ~13 year old 115lb little me flying upside down across the wake, so I've got high hopes I'll still be able to ride. Worst case, I'll be wakesurfing and pulling all my friends, family and all the kids.

Honestly, same could be said about a RX7. Best days of ownership are the day you buy it and the day you sell it. haha

Great build and a fun read of your journey. Have you done any 100-200kph runs on the dragy gps or any 1/4 mile testing yet?

Was feeling nostalgic and logged into here the other day, checking on some old threads and new. All is still good around here, been doing the boat thing with the family about every weekend since the end of spring, which has been a blast. I do at times still miss the ole' red rocket, but I finally picked up a new 'project' in a way. Traded in the 2011 6.2L Silverado 1500 for a 2018 Silverado 2500 with the L5P 6.6 duramax diesel, which has given me the excuse to go down the diesel tuning wormhole and learn something new.

Leave it stock and it will last you 500k+ miles. 900ftlbs of torque is plenty. Just my 2 cents.

There is no way the emissions system on this truck will last for 500K miles without having to replace extremely expensive long lead parts, multiple times. I have no plan of keeping it for 500k miles as by that point it would be a rolling turd even if the engine and drivetrain made it that far...plus the 500 wheel was plenty enough for my FD to kill anything I needed on the street...but that extra 270 I made above that was ALOT more fun.

I was poking around on here bored this week exploring the lack of new content of substance...so I posted the final tune file for the car in hopes of spurring some intelligent technical discussion, which seems to have left this place. Link below if you are interested.

778 RWHP Semi PP FD Map Share

In other news, all is good. Had an absolute blast all summer on the lake on the boat with friends and family. I still haven't put the truck through the weight loss program, but that should be coming early next year. To satisfy my wrench turning cravings, I've been buying non-running dirt bikes and four wheelers off market place, fixing them up and flipping them just for good sport.

For those who don't know...it was Joel Grannas that ended up buying the car. He went on to use it as the test car when developing his FD3S RX7 GR700A 6 speed transmission kit. It was definitely needed as I ripped the teeth off 3rd gear in a 'new' FD3S transmission on the day he came to pick up the car when we went on the test drive, only running 25 PSI when it let go.
