Here are some pics from a 20B powered 3rd Gen that my workshop built. Its use to have the plates DEFRO but now has RXWEPN or whatever it is for the Aussies in here.

The turbo is a Garrett TA45 and it had a 1.32 exhaust housing on a big **** blade. It made 550rwhp on a dyno dynamics dyno (About 640 +/- on dynojet) on 19psi or there abouts. Wastegate is a 45mm Tial wastegate and all piping is custom made by Mazsport Australia.

Man, if someone wants to get the exhaust flow turboing a 20B then just hang one turbo off each exhaust port. I've seen tri-turbo setups on 13Bs at the Japanese auto shows... So with the huge amount of exhaust energy on the 20B three decently sized turbos with three decently sized wastegates should be quite nice.
Of course this may get a little expensive...

Oh well, there's always something to dream about at least...

I think the thing that you'd be dreaming about is how high the underhood temps would be with three turbos

Hey, that's pretty cool!

I especially like the the hard line for the radiator. Did you have any stress problems with the rubber connectors, or did they work out OK?

Did you mount the engine in the stock position? (Sorry, I'm not a 3Gen person so I can't tell by the pictures).

I was also wondering if it is more difficult to install the 20B and turbo plumbing on a right-drive car, or if you think that it doesn't make any difference. I guess that the throttle cable is on the correct side at least.

The car now has a 13B back in it with a Y2K hanging off the side...

From memory no it wasn't mounted in the standard location, I think it was lower and further back. And it's harder because we have sterring boxes in the way of exhaust pipes and what have you, can make life very difficualt.

Hey guys. I've been reading around and learning more about the 20B. I have some questions...

I don't understand the sizing of aftermarket turbos on a 20B. I've seen several places recommend a T-88, but is that necessary? Are there better single turbo options for a 20B? Does anyone sell an exhuast manifold for a single turbo on a 20B (I doubt it, but I had to ask)?

Also, they 20B that I'm sizing for would be stock ports for now... so keep that in mind. Does the turbo recommendation change for a standard sized street port in this application, or would it just require swapping the exhaust housing (if even that is required/recommended)?

Hey Bro, a few people have 20b's over here in Japan. They say a big single is not good for the 3 rotor, its better to get to medium turbos, or even 3 if you got lots of cash to burn. They say major lag on the engine, and the turbo works hard with almost no results, but with 2 mediums you always have power, and you can still WHIP the big boys....

Ya we have them here in Japan, everything is here. 3 rotor with 3 turbos is SWEET but takai, which means EXPENSIVE.

If you want most of your 20B questions answered call Tito at Alamo Rotary (210-658-8486). He has built 2 of them. You can see them at www.alamorotary.com.

it all depends on the sizes and specs of the turbo/s
