Question Singled 13B-REW- What price to sell for?

Im kind of curious. What price should I ask for this engine setup?

Never started! Microtech is dead and injectors' driver not working...
Street ported
RA super Seals w/new springs
high temp tefloned coolant seals
Atkins solid corner seals
Fresh side seals w/new springs
Fresh OEM bearings

Garrett GT40 70mm inducer / 94 mm exducer (dont remember turbine size / its v clamp)
Apexi 50 mm wastegate
850 stock primaries
1600cc secondaries
Greddy elbow
Apexi GT intercooler w/ piping
Dual Turbo XS BOVs
Stock 5 speed w/ACT clutch
All accessories installed

Basically its a full engine, transmission, turbo and intercooler package. If i were to sell this what can i expect to get for it? i may fix the microtech and add it and its X4 ignition box too.

It may time for a swap so I dont have to deal with any more of these shady *** rotary people anymore.

Shady *** rotary people? You have to have options being in FL, don't you? I just got my **** dyno'd today and I'm happy as hell with how things turned out. Are you able to do any work on your own?

Cliff notes:

I bought the car in june of 2007. It had a blown engine from being tuned wrong by one of the shops here in Orlando. I had a guy rebuild it using a spare engine I had bought. I broke it in without even hearing the BOV, no kidding. My builder recommended a guy to tune it. Well the microtech was wired wrong in regards to the ignition, the tuner noticed the problem in the beggining, I asked if he should stop... He kept going. He kept cranking up the boost to lean out the mixture because it was so rich from missfiring. He hits 20 pounds and says "Im going to lean it out," I got butterflies in my stomach. He popped the motor. He packs up and leaves real quick. I AAA it back to the shop and the builder says he will rebuild it for free. This time the engine is running weird upon rebuild. He had to put it on 6cyl mode for it to run. I break it in again and go to get it dyno'd again by Gaby this time. We strap it in hook it up and he says somethings wrong he cant tune it. Says it might be the ignition. so I rewire the ignition finding the problem, throw in some MSDs, and find out the X4 ignition box is dead. Replaced it. then as Im driving to work one day, it shakes apart. The bearings were all bad. Ate te side seals and shattered the corner seals. A guy rebuilt it with me sitting there explaining as he went, and i redid everything in the block. I put it in myself and order a microtech handheld to test everything. Injector drivers dead. Cant start it.

So before i even start it and begin the process again, i just want to get out of it altogether. I have absolutely no problem with the engine itself or its design. I have a problem with the mechanics here in orlando. Ive spent 8k on it last yr, and got nowhere. See my frustration? If it pops again ill shoot someone. Ive learned to rebuild it myself but i still have to rely on somene tuning it... Everywhere i go I get this "oh, its a white guy with money" BS which is actually opposite of the truth. Im broke as hell now.

Im torn. Ive been considering the V8 swap since I know so many people that tune them here in FL. My friend Zach has a built LS1 FC that traps 130+...

On the other hand I thought about getting it running and breaking it in on the ride down to Pettit or somewhere respectable to get tuned... I know it'll cost me less to keep rebuilding my REW than to do the swap for a stock engined/slower than my old BPU FD.

I really want to learn how to tune so I dont have to go anywhere.

On the other hand, the scene down here has been destroyed by young hispanics in Hondas, ranging from burnouts at meets to thefts. It isnt fun anymore. I thought abou selling the car completely and using the profit to pay off all my bills. It used to be awesome having an FD in NC because I could just go out cruising on twisty roads, and the people up there are so much more considerate on all levels.

I'd recommend sticking with the Microtech and trust Gaby to get you sorted out. I've driven an FD tuned by him and the car ran VERY good, great driveability and very fast for it's mods.

You know how to build, you have a great tuner who knows your EMS, and now you want to go v8? Seems like you've put up with all the nightmares, now is the time you should be reaping the rewards

Wow, sorry to hear all the crap you have had to go through... Cudo's to you for getting though all of it with your sanity.

I kinda agree with Rich on this one. There are so many people on here from FL surely someone can get you some help in getting the wiring ecu bugs worked out and the car tuned. Pettit is always an option and really is not too far down the road from Orlando.

People everywhere seem to be getting more and more inconsiderate of others. It really sucks to hear about the scene down there in Orlando, I was honestly looking at possibly relocating to that area, Winter Garden maybe, here in a few years. I will be down here in a month to visit a good friend of mine. Hopefully if I do relocate you still have your car and maybe we could get together some non-dousche bags and go cruise.

There is a shop in Kissimee named Delirium Motorsport. Speak to the owner, Boris and tell him Freddy from NJ sent you. He is a great guy to deal with. Maybe he can help. Just a suggestion before you give up. Rumor has it that Microtechs have been acting up lately. Good Luck

funny how no body has even answered his original question about a price.. really though your in this deep and a V8 is going to cost even more at this point. u should keep the rotary. Imagine how your going to feel when its running up to potential.....

I have rewired the entire harness and traced the primary injector leads. They have continuity from the ECUs molex connector all the way to the injectors. Its the ECU. I have completely gutted the ignition and started over with it.

The way I see it is that the shop that the previous owner took it to burned up the X4 ignition module. So in order to fix their screw-up they wired it to batch fire. The prev' owner told me as soon as he hit boost the engine popped. Thats when I bought it from him. Rebuilt it. Runs while driving normally, but not under load. On the dyno it was billowing black smoke (fuel) like at a tractor pull. Popped it. Rebuilt it. Shakes apart. Rebuilt it. Have not run it, and Im scared to.

When I sold my old FD I felt hollow like I had no soul. I bought the new one. My dad always whines about how he sold his chevelles and roadrunners and how he misses it. So I just dont want to grow up.

The car scene here in orlando is getting really old though with all the ricers and thieves. Ive been tailed. My friends cars have been stolen. Our meets are ruined. I havent done anything car related in a looooong time and I feel like im growing out of it.
