Single turbo walkthrough

Hey everyone,

I am currently in the process of putting together a single turbo fd. I already removed the stock twins, upper and lower intake manifold, rats nest (rack) and coils. I was wondering if there are any links with a detailed guide to assemble everything? I already found a few helpful links such as (Triple-R: GT35R SINGLE TURBOCHARGER CONVERSION INSTALLATION) which i found in other threads. I'm basically trying to get the most information as I can and any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm doing the same thing right now. Also I got my block off plates from Banzai Racing. And I'm doing the OMP delete which they have a block off plate/port plugs for. As for premixing the gas after deleting the OMP, I've heard 1oz of 2 stroke oil for every 1gal of gas. If someone can confirm this that would be super.

.5oz per gallon is fine for street driving.

It's been quite a learning process for me. But almost every question I've had has been answered before. Take your time, do your research, and you'll have no problems with your build.

Anyone know how much vacuum hose I need? I already got 10 feet of the 6mm vacuum hose. How much of the 4mm hoses do I need (i'm guessing less for single turbo vs. twin)? And are there any other sizes I need?

I think what is tough is to answer this. each set up is different because we choose different ways of running vacuum lines, we all have different intercooler set ups, and some might need more vacuum lines because they run a boost controller while others just use spring pressure.

so I guess it kind of depends.

What I did was wait till the end and do some rough measurements for each diameter hose. Then I ordered another couple of feet extra just in case. I always cut things long and trimmed to length at the end.

You kinda just get hose as you go along, if the stock ones are in decent shape you can reuse then and won't need anything but the fuel injection lines for the fuel to and from the rails.

Does anyone know where I can find pinouts or diagram for the fuel pump connector wires to the ecu and other parts of the car. I'm not getting fuel to my engine and my pumps not priming.

The FSM has all the wiring information you will need.

(Tip: Hold the Ctrl button and hit the down arrow in Acrobat Reader. Makes browsing a large PDF file much easier)

Its going slow with my full time job. I have been referring to the single turbo diagram online. Right now i'm planning on starting the car with the stock fuel system so its easier to troubleshoot any issues.

RIght now I got a vacuum line going from the fuel pressure regulator to the charge relief valve. I am assuming form the diagram that the orange clip is the only one we use?

picture 2

On the block there is something that looks similar to the fuel pressure (tape on it) regulator and I have no idea what to do with it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Anyone know what should I do with the pulsation dampener if I plan to keep the stock primary injectors? Do I need a new rail for the primary injectors if I plan to keep them stock?

How much power are you planning to make with the stock injectors? If I were you I'd put that build aside until you get the fuel system upgraded.
