Question Which Single Turbo? ??

i Drive a 93 R1. I'm having it rebuilt..ported,polished,clutch,front mount, alum radiator,3mm seals,ECU upgrade... My mechanic says i'll get 350 horses out of the stock turbos, but the other day i found out they're bad. So I'm gonna do the upgrade. I don't mean to ask a repetitive question on this board, but If i wanna swing 450rwhp and still keep it the daily driver around town.. My mechanic sugests T-78, but he's usind that turbo for over 600 hp...I want something with a faster spool.. I'm considering a t3/t4. td06. t78...any other suggestions or opinions?

Thanks
Josh

I have a GT35R for sale. It is good for about 600 hp and will spool up very quickly since its full ball bearing. When you hear that turbos are ball bearing its mostly just the front part of the turbo. This is garrett's new design. Check out the website and do some reasearch here. You'll see it is a very good turbo. I am selling it at $1000 and you can also see that that is a very good price. The turbo is new and unused. See my ad in the for sale section. Let me know if you have any questions. GT35R For Sale Good luck in your search. By the way my brother is going with a GT40 for his FD. Maybe thats a route for you if you want to make some high hp. It seems that a lot of FD's are using either those or the GT35R's in Australia. And one thing I have found is that those australians are crazy about hp. Good Luck.

I guess the first question that should be asked is how much hp do you want?

I'm putting in a t-70 in my 93 and looking to push at 400-450... I think, I hope. I'll let you know how it goes. And from all i've read by searching the threads to what my mech an I dissc. a t-70 was my choice.
BTW my situation is similar to yours except I got 2mm seals instead of 3. (bigger is not ALWAYS better) I'm not a big car tech. just a lover.
