Best response = Smaller Turbo
Best Power = Bigger Turbo
Depends once again.. the same thing that has been listed over 500 times....what do you want? What do you consider "good" response? What are your power goals? what is the goal of the car? How much money do you want to spend? What size fuel injectors? What size port? Good response with 300hp is far different then good response with 500hp. The smaller the hotside, the better response, the smaller the power. The larger the hotside, the slower the response, more power. Too big of a compressor wheel vs a small exhaust wheel = increased chance of surge or no high end power.

Sorry to hi-jack, but I have a very similar question that might answer his at the same time. I want to make 300rwhp on a RE motor with stock ports. I want to build a street car...so top end is not the target here. Would like to build boost low and keep it pulling all the way through to red line.
thanx

Thanx for the response Trispeedk, is there any single turbo setup that would preform well with the conditions I specified? I dont really want to go with the twins being im putting this setup in an 85 GSL-SE chassis running a Haltech.
