Turbo rebuilds

I have a Turbonetics 62-1 that ate an apex seal. I was wondering if there are other alternatives to getting it rebuilt then sending it back to Turbonetics.

And for those people who have had there turbos rebuilt, what was the cost?

http://www.citydiesel.net/ call them very knowledgeable, very good. For turbine wheel repair they out source to a shop that welds in new material to the fins and then uses a CNC end mill to grind the profile back to what it needs to be. They also balance every rebuild that they do.

I wouldn't recommend welding back any material on the turbine wheel to fix a damaged wheel. The turbine wheel goes through a lot of abuse, and the fin tips are high stressed points. I recommend getting a new wheel if you need one.
