Question shaving off part of 3rd lower intake manifold?

Has anyone shave off the area where the egr valve is? I am installing a T-78 and I don't want to put a dent in the downpipe. Can someone post a picture. I would like to know how much is needed to be shaved off. Thanks!!!

What is plugged in to the downpipe on the far left in that picture? Is that for an egt gauge?

Ahh you ran in to that problem huh. The HKS T51R also has a fitment problem with the US lower intake manifold. The J-Spec ones do not have EGR and are cleaner. I got a whole J-Spec motor that i swapped in.
