S400 Turbo Parts Here

After doing alot of researching, measuring and google searches......... I've found part numbers for the 5.75 inch V-Band Clamp and Flange. I know people advertise them but they want too much for them.

http://www.interstateturbo.com/Exhaust/Page19.pdf

V-Band Clamp Clamp also fits a T-50, VT50 and HT3B . Interstate Turbo Part # IT 88-506 , Manufacturer # 186917, Air Flo Part # 88-506 www.airflo.com price $20.03

Flange Interstate Turbo Part # IT 88-503, Airflo Part # 4388-503 www.airflo.com, price $10.59

Other S400 relative parts

5" OD OD dia. $9.42 per foot - part#STL3
Short Radius 90 O.D. leg length 5 1/2" $50.95 - part#433-500
Short Radius 90 O.D. leg length 7 1/2" $39.66 - part#434-503PE
Short Radius 90 O.D. leg length 15" $46.92 - part#434-515PE
Short Radius 45 O.D. leg length 12" $36.57 - part#434-545-12PE
Standard 45 O.D. leg length 6.3" $33.91 - part#432-5458PE
Standard 45 O.D. leg length 14" $42.07 - part#432-5458-14PE

It's possible to get it cheaper with further research and calling around to trucking companies but I'm tired of searching.

Thats a massive turbo for a rotary, i run that as the second turbo in my compound setup at 50psi on my 12v cummins. It hakes a good reliable 450hp and 1100ft/lbs torque.

Pretty good. I'd be a lot better if I could get my chassis guy to work on my car. 6 months later and its still there. I think maybe he doesnt like me.

With a huge street port when would this thing start to boost? Is it the 1.32 a/r exhaust side?

^^^ They are really that cheap, Holset documents are pretty hard to come by however. I have an H1E which are ~$550 brand new from City Diesel.

Isn't the S400 made by Borge Warrner?

Is that s400 a ball bearing setup? I bet not for that price but it's worth a shot! How long will they have that pricing in effect? I want to build a 20b maybe next year or further...

Right off the line if you want it to. Most of the "cheap" ones are 1.32 A/R.

That is a Borg Warner turbo not a Holset. Here is a link that has a compressor map. Look under the technical info

No, it is a plain bearing turbo. For some reason the price keeps dropping. You can buy them very cheap.

http://majesticturbodallas.com/specials1.html

The place Eric found is still the cheapest. And for another $300 they will put a 80mm compressor wheel in it

Well, the guy was nice and gave me dealer pricing. A friend tried calling to get the same deal and this is what happened.

I talk to Jess yesturday he quoted me $950. Today I try again and it's $1100. If I were to call them again what do you think I should said?
I'm not sure if they were quoting him MSRP or what. They're a enormous dealer and have about 20 S400's sitting on the shelf among 1,000's of other turbos on shelves.

Please someone elaborate! This should be superior in size to a 42r though not from a quality and longevity standpoint...

S400 specs from City Diesel ---|--- GT4202R from garrett
Compressor Wheel Inducer 74.549mm 74.7mm
Compressor Wheel Exducer 100.1776mm 102.3mm
Turbine Wheel Exducer 88.0618mm ???
Turbine Wheel Inducer 95.7072 82.0mm

the s400 looks to have a larger turbine, but smaller compressor. just briefly looking at the comp map though, the s400 looks broader, which at the moment, im under if its a good or bad thing.

This is all I need to know.

The S-400's offer more readily available choices in both compressor wheel and turbine housing sizes.
The major difference over the GT-42 would be the turbine wheel is much bigger more like a GT-45.
Have not seen a GT-42 make 900whp plus on a 13b but the S-400's have done it on many !
