RHD fitment

Hi guys!

i'm wondering about single turbo fitment on RHD ( right hand drive ). Hope you guys can help me please!

I've read here that RX7Store.net GT35R ( T3, T4 wont fit ) kit fits RHD FD but don't know if this turbo kit is enough for my HP goal. The question is, will this kit reach my goal or am I better find another kit ?

I'm looking for something in the 450whp pump gas/ 550whp race gas range, with street port. If you tell me it can handle more whp, it's just too nice!

Thanks!
Keven

They all fit.... i have an RHD, for fun during the conversion i tried like 3 cheapo manifolds, to HKS cast to greddy. they all fit fine.... no issues.

Jason's manifolds fit fine too. The engine block and Lim are the same for RHD. You might need to check fitment only if you require egr. My 7 is a Jap Import so no egr snafu sticking out.

Hope this clears out your worries.

thanks for the help!

But I think it's the downpipe who doesn't clear the steering column ?

I have a RHD FD and tried the HKS cast iron manifold and it Didn't work. It kept bouncing on the Steering rack. So I have it around my garage. I got a guy to custom make my manifold....

I also tried the XS power Stainless Steel manifold as well. Same problem but not with the steering rack but with the sub-frame. The wastegate flandge now bounces on the frame making it unable to fit. You would have to cut the wastegate flandge and repostion it to suit.....

I have the A-Spec short runner T3 GT35R kit on my RHD. Fits fine. T4 should fit too as it's only a different flange afaik.

We actually have RHD kits now made specifically to work with T4 turbo's ranging anywhere in size from small to big size turbo's.

strange..... my hks cast for FD worked fine... forget the fc one.
i tried ss auto chrome... wastgate hitting the subframe has nothing to do with being RHD... its just because SS is a POS.

the down pipe IS an issue with the sequencials. this is due to the steering rod as you rightly pointed out. RHD jap inports do not have en egr valve so no clearance issues there. I uses 1.0 and 1.15 ar T4s and no problem.

OBX was an even worst POS. It kept hitting on all sides.

Well I will try take some pics of my fitment and clearances.... maybe they help.

Is your car a JDM or european market car?

Best,

George

...so i am 99% sure that his LIM has no protudences of the egr valve etc. Yes i know the POS manifolds may hit the subframe or the LIM, but that would happen even on a LHD. the steering rod by no mean effects the single turbo setup. LHD or RHD makes no difference, unless you want to use a short runner manifold to retain the air pump etc like Sean has on sale. Then yes, Sean is the only possible and viable way out for you.

I removed all the smog stuff and airpump on mine, so i can only safely say that all the stuff fits with airpump etc removed.

The downpipe is a non event, it does not even come close to the steering rod so you can rest your mind on that respect. I will try get the pics this morning.

Best,

George

I must apologize to you sir. You are correct the HKS cast iron manifold does fit on either LHD or RHD. I checked it yesterday and to my surprise if fitted perfectly with my 62-1 turbo with 1.15 A/R.
