Replacing stock map sensor?

Hi i was told not to run more than 17psi with the stock map sensor and the Power FC. Can anyone confirm this. Could anyone explain to me what all needs to be done to replace the stock map sensor. Has anyone actually done this. Would it be easier just to go with a Haltech 6k instead of the Power FC, or would that fix the problem?
Thanks for any information.

dont forget you have to get it re-programed for the new sensor
although you can figure the voltages out and get it to run with the pfc you have to get the cells opend up and re-mapped for the higher map sensor..
basically send it to xs and have them do it...prob be the best $ youll spend

youd get more response in the ecu section namely the pfc section.

personally for all the hassle of the pfc im going with haltec..
your on the east coast so the only powerexcell shop is out on the west coast..but theres plenty of haltec tuners over on the east coast

either one is a great ecu..but it all depends what your doing with the car...17psi on stock twins wont hold up for 2 long..

but for all the hassle to get the pfc to run seamlessly your prob better off getting haltec or the new aem...but like i said its all where your going with the car

You may be able to just go to option 1 on the pfc for it to work... the stock map goes to 1.4 kg so you can boost to that with the new 3 bar..

Also get the Data logit and you can tune your pfc for anything you want..
