What MT u running again 10? i haven't got to hit really any boost yet on my car. i still have some stuff to sort out. im still on stock coils though . tunning the car yourself saves such a headache and money. i mean yea its nice to go have your car tuned by a "pro" and then be able to just drive it (in some cases lol). but when you add one little thing or make a change then you need a retune. might as well learn yourself so you can blow the motor up and you can realize the mistake you made. i mean a tune is one of the most important components why leave it in someone elses hands.

Water injection is definately woking though which is good! It's an ultra conservative tune though, it runs 10:1 afr through boost. Not sure if I'm going to keep it there or if I should go ahead and do mid 10's or low 11's.
I run @ 23 psi in the 10.8-11.2 range, I just went out a little bit ago since it's nice and cold out and tuned the IAT tables a bit better for the cold temps, since I've been running the fast IAT i wrote about awhile back, I've been needing a good time to do this.

I suggest running at least mid 10's and really closer to 11 flat. You can definitely feel the power increase going from 10 to 11. Anything over 25 psi may have different requirements though so I can't help there. Also, make sure your cruise areas are at least close to 14.7 if not higher, or you're be fouling up your plugs and adding carbon buildup. And idle should be 12.5-13.5.

ok cool thanks for the numbers. I'll be doing this on some back road for the holidays. After really playing around with maps on the MT this weekend it's really not that hard at all. It's going to take some time getting it right but there really is only a few places you have to change once you have the basic tune. Right now it's cruising in the high 10's and low 11's so I'm going to have to change that and then lean out the boost area but that should be it. I'm not going to through my expensive plugs on till I lean things out a bit. I'd hate to foul out those plugs, lol.

yeah lt10s. Your right, hopefully I'll get it down and start having no problem tuning. My biggest fear was killing my expensive *** motor because of the lack of experience but you guys are right, it could just as easily break under the pros. I got some pointers from the guys at World Wide Racing in florida wich was very helpful and then just going through the mt section on this site and looking at all the different maps helped me out as well. I'm very greatfull to rx72c for putting base maps like this out there for people to use.

This one may even be better for us. A 5/8" head and .875" reach. Heat range starts at -10(NGK equivalent).

More HP with the tip closer to the housing surface, and a 5/8” head that can be drilled for a pressure sensor.

Ultimate Class Iridium Racing 5723 IA01-31 $44.12

Iridium Racing, 14mm Thread, 22mm (7/8") Reach, 5/8" (16mm) Hex Size, Gasket Seat, Resistor, 27.6mm Height, 0.4mm Iridium Center Electrode, Diagonal 0.8mm Platinum Ground Electrode, Solid Terminal, .025" Gap, Heat Range 31

Barry no more rice just posted a thread in the 3rd gen section about the denso plug (hks also carries a rebadged version of the same denso plug). Seems like we have a competitor for the 7420s.
