Questions: Garrett T04S and the MP T70

My Garrett T04S is starting a smoke show and will need new seals.
If I change my turbo I will need to Retune the car and I JUST had it done..YES,3 days ago!(357@303tq..15psi FCTII)
SO,Dilemma!..I need a NEW seal repair kit OR a new cartridge I guess that is what they call it..(sorry not turbo literate,I just build ****,slap on and go!)
Garrett is running a .70(cold side) and .96 is stamped on the exhaust.

Question,The Masterpower T7O Turbo,is it Close to what the Garrett is?..OR should I just bite the bullet and wait to get the correct Garrett parts.

(if the MP T70 is close in specs and won't alter the tune then I may get that.)

By the way I need a place to get these Parts.(Garrett T04S parts.)
For the life of me I can't find a number on the cartridge.I do not really want to take the turbo Off until I get the parts.
The Damn Exhaust flange is SOOOO hard to mate to the Turbo/downpipe I would rather just take the whole FRONT(cartridge and cold side stuff) Off and leave the exhaust housing and downpipe intact when I do this replacement.

Any help would be great Lads.
Thanks.STYX.,

If you can unbolt the exhaust housing, go this route. To change the bearings you will need to unbolt it anyway, so if you can leave it in the car, you have less hassle with the downpipe.
Not sure how old your turbo is, but also pay attention to the clogged exhaust or any restrictions there (i.e. broken catalyser) as the berings usualy don't just go (even some of the T04S are known to go very quick).

If I would be in the situation you are, I would just go the re-sealing route. T70 compressor is bigger than the one of T04S and you will need to re- tune your car if you change the turbo.

Best,
Iwan

You might want to try G-Pop Shop

they are many other sources out there and gpop is not the cheapest one, but the service seems to be right there.
