Questions about making a twin turbo manifold.

Would it be best to run a Y off of each exhaust port and 2 tubes to each turbo, and turbos with divided housings?

I just realized that I posted a question about twin turbos in the single turbo section.
Hopefully I can still get a good answer.

I know what you mean. Maybe this should be the Tuner section and not the single turbo. It seems that all the guru's stay here.

I figured that most of the turbo gurus would check out this forum, but maybe I'll post this somewhere else.

Hey I've heard that if you run 2 separate pipes with a turbo on each that you'll have problems... the word was that they need to be balanced. ie the pipes must join b4 the turbos
I'm thinkin of doing this too. Pls post any info if you get it

cheers

Yeah, I figured a design like that wouldn't be too good. A "higher power" told me that running each turbo to both exhaust ports was the best way. So I was on the right track. I was going to experiment on my car, but I think I'll use another car.

a well known source of rotary knowledge said to just have a pipe going from exhaust port to turbo, then run a pipe between each port to turbo pipe, that would help equalise the pressure.

In other words... Each turbo on its own exhaust port, with 1 wastegate plumbed into both...

if i were to use a twin turbo set up, i'd put a 40mm wastegate on each runner. that way running a complete twin system

I have a twin turbo manifold for sale! I bought it for my car, and it doesn't fit, the guy lied to me and told me it would fit a 93! But it fits a second gen not my 3rd get, stainless steel and ceramic coated, it has a waste gate and two TD06 turbo's(also ceramic coated) check it out at www.geocities.com/twintd06

I can send you more pictures, if you want to make it, but it looks very complicated, my shop told me it would be thousands of dollars to make something like that.

Yes, please post more, I might be interested. I would probably put twin td07 25G turbos on there instead

And post a price on the manifold

FD twin kit for sale

i have a twin kit that i made for myself, and let me tell you: i am very experience at fabricating and have been doing it for years and it was NOT an easy task to perform, the header is not that hard but what is hard is incorparating the wastegate and DP so that i can be taken off while the motor is still in the car!! anyway i am selling the kit because i am selling the car so i can buy a truck for my race car. i want 3k for it and it includes a 40mm TIAL w/g two garret t3/t4 hybrid turbos stainless header stainless dp and a ic pipe for a front mount (you probably will not be able to use it unless you have my front mount kit too, but you can have it anyway) i will have all of the piping ceramic coated and the turbos FLO-COATED i never got it over 20psi so i dont know what max power will be but i can tell you that when it spools it spools HARD!!if you would like to see some pics of the kit in the car there is apost in the single section that says "check out these new pics" posted by DCLIN
