Question: Oil cooler and filter just for turbo

I'm curious if anyone runs either a seperate oil filter , or runs a small oil cooler, or both for their single set up. I've been thinking about doing it just for more life on my rebuilt T78 and engine. Anyone done something like this, that might have some pictures to post?

Thanks

I have a friend that is completing his FB TII setup with a TO4B, Haltech, etc. He is running a small pre turbo oil cooler. It's nice, mounted it right up front, takes up little space and claims a 25deg temp drop...from summitt...My opinion is its a great idea. It can do nothing but help right!! Car is in the proccess of getting tuned so I'll guess we shall see.

The cooler might help because mitsu turbos are only oil cooled vs oil/water.
Having a pre filter shoulden't be needed because any oil that gets to the turbo should already be filtered by the engine filter. I'd say make sure there is no contamination in the line to the turbo before you put your new rebuilt one back on. Plus if you put a prefilter to the turbo and it happens to filter the oil more then the main engine filter you can run into problems that way also. If the turbo filter does most of the filtering and starts to fill up with contaminate it will start to starve the turbo of oil
