Question about wastegate springs and boost controllers

I am looking to run 25-26 psi. I currently have a ~15 psi spring in my wastegate. Will a cheap little home depot MBC allow me to turn my boost up to 25-26 psi with the ~15 psi spring or will I need to get a stiffer spring? I won't be doing much changing of the boost very often, so the inconvenience of a MBC shouldn't be to big of a problem. Any input is appreciated. Thanks for the time, Evan

IT should work okay, but I'd be looking to use an EBC versus an MBC for accuracy and quick response...at those boost levels, the slightest screwup will land you in rebuild-limbo, so this is no time to cheap out.

I believe the generally observed rule is that up to 250% of the WG spring rating is *accurately* attainable with a boost controller, and in my experience this is pretty much the case, after that it becomes unstable. Every setup is different, but I dont think you'll have a problem going from 15 to 25.
