Question Question about the GT42R for Marco or Ralph...

Hey guys. Right now I have the T88H on my FD. It doesn't reach full boost till 5200rpms. I've been reading on the GT42R and found that it comes in a T04 divided inlet, 4" v-band discharge. And if I can get it in the T04 inlet, what sizes am I limited to with the A/R and turbine housing? If this is true, it should fit my existing T88H manifold, no?
I was reading on A-spec's website about it, but who do I get the turbo from, Aspec or Xcessive? And who do I buzz for the availability?
Thanks again,
Ernie

I can pretend to be either if you like. I'm not sure the T88 is a standard T4 footprint it's been awhile since I played with one. I can easily get the 42R with T4 with 1.01 or 1.15. I do normally sell them with the T6 footprint and run the manifold as such. Makes no sense to step down in turbine inlet size in my book. But I run 2" dia. runnners.

LOL, didn't mean to leave ya out.....Ok, so its best to just get a new manifold. I don't need two wastegates as I have the Greddy 60mm which is more than enough. Can it be made for the one? And how much?! TIA....

We would if locals would buy them. So far I've sold only to the UK or west coast believe it or not.

your about to get one
Definetely plan on going gt42R here in a couple months as soon as the season ends. How much does your kit useually run for?? Also how reliable is your tuning? I normally would just go to rx7 store for the tune but I honestly want the best tune I can get for really high horsepower numbers that this turbo is capable of without blowing the engine.

I talked to Marco for awhile today. Very helpful and knowlegable. Gave me a great price too so it looks like I'll be getting the whole shabang. Im getting the GT42R with the T6 large frame turbo manifold and dual Tial 35mm wastegates and 4" downpipe from Magnus.

Putting a T4 on there is a waste of time on a rotary. I never understood why anyone was pushing it. Now you just need to step up to 5" DP. I suppose you "need" a 1.15 as well?

Spool will very on numerous things but figure 1 bar by 3800rpm or better if setup right. Upper 500's in the low 20lbs. If memory serves 58?@22lbs for a friend of mine. Ralph had similar maybe even better numbers as well.

I don't know
The T4 made for the GT42 is still bigger then a regular T4

I dislike the way the T6 looks
plenty of people are making tons of Power
with the T4 foot print
hmm...seems only a few turbo shops offer T4 foot prints

We'll see I plan to get
a GT42-74 with a T4 Foot print soon enough
Hear she is.....can't wait to have her

Marco has a problem with getting things delivered on time. If i were you I would work out some sort of payment on reciept of product if possible.

im not going to post my personal dealings with marco on the net, but if your interested you can pm me.

I don't know Marco personally but I am fully aware of how hard it can be to fullfill orders while being small and in demand. Way too many times I feel I'm letting people down. I would say let people judge Marco on their own dealings with him.
