Nice work Jim, Is the color IBM, or something else? I'm sure you've seen mine, but I am a little behind you on mechanicals I think.I am suprised you went witha tube and fin IC(it is isn't it), as a perfectionist I would have thought batr and plate. Did you guys just make up some one off fuel rails? I am redoing my fuel system right now, and I was going to weld -6 fittings onto the ends after cleaning up the inside a bit. I am running a fuel safe cell with a Bosch in tank 996TT pump to a surge tank to an Aeromotive A1000, -10 line to the front, custom Y block, -6 lines(this was the plan) to modified stock rails(parralel),(Marren FPD maybe) SX FPR and -8 back to the surge. I may also add a fuel cooler if my temps are too high do to the surge tank setup. Anyway, curious what the details are on your fuel set-up. Anyway, are there any pics of the manifold itself, I must have missed that part of your write-up. Again nice work, hope you get your baby back soon. Carl

just curious, but why -10? What kind of HP are you shooting for? I was told to use -6AN with a Supra TT in tank pump, I'm looking for 400whp. 1600x2, 820? x2.

Hey Carl,
The color is ROYAL SAPHIRE BLUE...j/k It's actually a CUSTOM "Glassurit" color(Pearl Blue).
Fuel setup:
2 "in-tank" GTR fuel pumps, each with their own lines (-8AN) up to the front.
2 Paxton Fuel filters, one for each line, before the rails. (I got Keith Rails)
1 Paxton FPR.

Intercooler: GREDDY 3 ROW
Manifold: Custom by some guy in Cali...didn't I give you his #?

I'm going to be giving RISHIE a call for some DOPE *** RIMS & new coilovers, but I have to save a little more money before I call him. I Like Chris's (CARX7) rims, but I wanna try something different.

I'm going to need to get her tuned, but I'm trying to figure out where I should go?...hmm???

First, the pump, and the filter are -10 already, so why pay to adapt them down. Second, it will support any future fuel requirements. Third the -10 line with more volume will tend to dampen fuel pulsation(I think). Fourth, I do not have the figures in front of me, but two -6 lines, and certainly two -8 line flow way more than a single -6, or -8 line. -6 is the size at the rail assuming you use any f the popular set-ups. Finally always overbuild everything related to reliability, assuming you can afford it.
As for the Supra pump, I have a 97TT Supra, and that pump is not intended for continous 12, or 13.54vt operation. It WILL overheat your fuel, and it will nopt last as long as its designed to. On a Supra that pump operates at 9.0 volts except a WOT, then it switches to 12 vt. The -6 line is fine for the rails/FPR etc, but the supply ought to be at least a -8 IMHO. You will need to modify the top of most all pumps to fit the larger AN fittings. Also avoid all the stock hard lines, I've seen too many people build an elaborate fuel system, only to use the stock filter, and its associated hard lines. the other thing people do, is use the sock fill plate on the gas tank, which defeats theb whole purpose of teh system, use the correct AN size bulkhead fitting, or weld a AN fitting to it(tough to do). Hope that helps, Carl

I like Chris's rims too, but to much $$$ for me. The SSR SP1 will be my street wheel when I do finally by street rims, half the price of the Work wheels, and I prefer the look slightly. Did you say Kieths rails have -8 AN fitttings welded, or do you use an adapter? If you use an adapter what size is the thread on kieths rails? I assume they run the same as the FD rails price wise? I think you did give me the manifold guys #, but I was hoping o see the Manifold, must be secret. As far as a Tuner, Call me on my cell 707-696-2705, and we can talk about that, I am not thrilled with the current choices "hmmm"

Carl,
That motor pic is kinda old, I'm running Keith rails now and they aren't welded, that was the corksport special.

I'll try to give you a call when I can, I'm busy with TURKEY ****, lol

Thanks

If I had the chance to get another manifold, I would go with Seans' from ASPEC, I really liked his GT42R manifold....hmm, maybe I'll go that route when my turbo breaks..

That's awesome Jim!

Funny, I kinda screwed up my fan shround and so I was thinking of painting it blue to match the other parts on my car, but I wasn't sure how it would look. Now that I know, I may have to go ahead and do it I really like the blue colors that you guys are doing. I was really tempted when I repainted mine.

Carl, I got your message on teh fuel rails, I'll try to give you a call later today.

Good work Jim, I can't wait to see some numbers from it. I will likely be headed to Phoenix on the 11th to hang out at the dyno day, though I do not have intentions of dynoing at this time.

ohh yeah, Thanks to my wife who let me spend her money!

No #'s yet, still breaking her in...so far, only about 100 miles and it's gonna be hard to put more miles on her anytime soon because of the weather here....IT's COLD!

When I'm ready to have her tuned, I have a bunch of people in mind, but most of them are on the Eastcoast (Demetrios, Steve K, BDC, etc.)

very nice job. very nice. but now i gotta change my kit i was going to do the same thing corksport with the widebody fenders. but its all good. i decided to go gp sports with the widebody fenders.

Hopefully i'll have a thread like this here in a few months when my project TS2 is done. (keeps fingers crossed for 500hp)
