Profec B Solenoid Question
I am in the process of rebuilding my car, and I want it as clean as possible.
I was given a Greddy Profec B, and it has this huge black box that houses the Solenoid for wastegate control. I had the Haltech running my wastegate before and I am wondering if I can use the solenoid from the Haltech instead of this HUGE black box... I guess I could mount it under the dash, but I want to run all stainless lines to the Wastegate, to prevent damage from excessive heat, and so it looks purty!
thanks,
Kevin

What haltech do you have ? e6x ? or E8 .
If you have E8, hands down the solenoid and target boost map is better vs the profec B .
If you have an e6k or e6x, then use the profec B spec 2 ( if this is what you have ).
___
Im assuming you have this unit ?

Stick to using the solenoid it came with if you want the gain adjustment to work flawlessly

Yes I am using the E6X for now, and yes thats the Boost Controller I have. I like this option because I can run High, Low, and the Scramble if I like. Kind of a Pain with the Haltech to switch boost levels.
I've used both types of solenoids with the older profecs and the big black box out shines the newer style 3port solenoids. If you take it apart its actually 2 solenoids inside that box and they work very well.
