problem with my wastegate actuator

So I read from a few members that the bnr wastegate actuator was junk, so I purchased a Kinagawa wastegate. The only problem is that I'm looking for 12-14psi max, and the spring they gave me was 14psi. So I bought the 10psi spring.

I disassembled the kinagawa unit to install the 10psi spring and I was having trouble getting the diaphragm to seat, after fighting the spring and trying 5 different methods of compressing the spring so I can have my diaphragm installed without pinching, I tried installing the diaphragm with no spring, just to see it seat. I couldn't even get it to seat because it was too large for the area it was supposed to sit in.

It's the weekend and they aren't responding right now, but I was wondering if anyone has used these and disassembled these units before. Anyone tried changing the spring on it before?

I was going to install my turbo today, now it will have to wait until next week until I figure out which wastegate I will run. Anyone with bnr wastegate think it won't hold 14psi? I almost want to just slap the bnr one on and call it a day, but I would hate to have to remove my turbo to change it again later.
