Hi guys, getting close to firing up my new build... any recommendations on how to prime the engine and turbo of oil, turn of injectors and wind over until oil pressure is up? Inject oil into turbo oil feed line and hold impeller for abit on start up?

Disable fuel and spark, remove the oil feed line from the turbo (assuming single) and crank until oil comes out a steady stream. Connect the oil feed and crank its a few more times. Check your oil level...... start it

 

i just pull the EGI fuse and crank until the gauge goes up, reinstall fuse and start. never bled air out of a turbo line, that's a bit overkill.

 

Its for visual reference... not to bleed air. Oil systems aren't hydraulic and don't need to be bled. The solid stream is indicative of a good prime.

also just curious to what engine oil you guys use? I'm thinking a motul oil, 15/40 semi synthetic.
Running omp, plus il premix maybe 200/250:1
bridgeport/single turbo.
