Rather have Audi... AWD all the time, not just under acceleration. Sure it puts the engine more forward, but the Audi units are tough. Besides, there'd be no drivetrain interfering with the engine.

The centerforce would last about .5 seconds behind that motor.

I'm gonna have to agree with ReTED

because i'm weird like that:

2.3l volvo inline-5, bored to ~2.5l, with some big honkin' turbo

m90 trans from europe (5 speed, only rwd tranny that mates to the five banger)

standalone EFI

probably a ford LSD with some .390s maybe

edit: Oh. In a Volvo 1800, or an 1800ES Sportwagon.

i think it would be my setup but add a G force tranny and some strange coilovers for the rear suspension....

maybe a 5 bar map sensor......i wonder how much power it would make at 40 psi???
then i would need 2 more 1,600 injectors too

82 streetracer, beautiful avatar you have.

FD painted british racing green, a larger opening in the S6 front bumper, and a sort of ducktail on the taillights, rear diffuser
alpine f1 stereo, cf backed leather racing seats (like in 575MM ferrari and ****), all leather interior, leather covered roll cage
supercharged lightly streetported 20b.

thanks node,

R1, your definately right on the Dual friction, I would need some kind of multi plate clutch.

I would kill for a inconel manifold for my t04b, it would probably cost like $3000 or something.

From burns stainless website

625 Inconel, containing approximately 60% Nickel and 22% Chromium, was developed to cope with the extreme heat and strength demands of jet engines.
Molybdenum and Nobium elements also contribute to 625’s strength at temperatures greater than 1800º F, where 321 SS is unsuitable.
Inconel 625 excels in applications such as Rotary engines and extreme duty turbocharger exhausts

Inconel is a beutifull metal, it makes polished stainless look like brushed alluminum.

when I was in Italy at Galleria Ferrari, I got to see a bunch of F1 engines up close. they all had these perfect equal lenght inconel v12 headers.
Works of art.

What type of work would go into transplanting a Cobra IRS into the 3rd gen? It'd be sweet to have an IRS Posi that can take some power... GM has the right idea when they put it in every rwd car they make... are there any good swaps for the RX7 like this? That would be pretty sweet.

Jim Labreck has many pictures in his thread in the FD section on swapping a Ford 8.8 diff into his car. He is maintaining the FD rear suspension, he's only using the Ford diff. For what it's worth, he's not using the much more common cast iron '89-98 Thunderbird/Cougar/Mark VIII/'99-02 Cobra unit, but the aluminum part from the '03 Cobra.

Ford never had a Posi in any of their cars... Posi is Chevy's trademark name for limited slip diff. (Short for Positraction. Fords had Traction-Lok)
