ported motor timing advance
Quick question Guy's, I know more power is available by advancing the timing, but is the more aggressive the porting the further you can advance the timing or the more stock the porting the more you can advance the timing? I'm not sure if having a bridgeport enables me to be more aggressive with ignition advance in comparison to a stock port or street port.

Isn't your map very conservative then ?
do you mean your advance is a max of 13deg advanced across the rev and load range or just at peak torque ?

Ok that makes sense. I want to crank boost up to 22 psi. I'm in communication with the company in Japan who built the car from scratch to find out what seals are in use and if any extra dowels were added before I do so. What size turbo you running ?

You have a bridgeported motor and you dont know whether the timing should be more or less advanced!!!
Good luck mapping it!
Hey Marcel, off topic, but why tetiaries in the primary runners?

I have a large street port (it's actually a Cosmo 13B, large secondary ports, mild primary ports but still larger than a REW port). My timing is fairly conservative for the moment with 15 degrees total advance just past torque peak at 1.15kg max psi (it's usually closer to 1.1). I have about 13 degrees at torque peak on pump gas.
