ordered this lot from rx7store, have I missed anything

I currently have the following mods on my car.

Blitz Nur Spec catback
PowerFC + commander
AVC-R

I've just ordered the following:-

GT35/40 Kit
Greddy 3-Row R-Spec intercooler kit
Greddy elbow
Type-R BOV
Koyo radiator
3 bar MAP sensor
Ultimate fuel upgrade (1000cc/1600cc, FP,FPR,rails etc etc)

I think thats it. Am I missing anything obvious (other than a good tuner, clutch and midpipe)??? Mainly interested in things that will stop me getting the car running, rather than improving performance.

You views are most welcome.

Thanks

pullies(because you'll be removing the air pump) and blockoff plates come immediately to mind...I nearly forgot those.

get the braided stainless OMP lines and change those while you have it mostly apart.

change all the heater core water hoses while you're in there

AST elimination kit or good AST

Opps, forgot to mention I have an uprated AST already. The turbo kit comes with a blockoff plate kit, and I have another block-off kit sitting around too. Ok, so I definately need the pullies then?? What's my best option, Unothordox (sp??) set??

What are these OMP (Oil Metering Pump??) lines. Is there a kit I can get??

I don't know that the pullies are NEEDED, but once you remove the air pump...there is precious little contact on the water pump pully.

by going to the larger pully, you get more contact angle on the belt...even with mine(greddy) tighter than I think i might like...I can turn the waterpump pulley without turning the belt...

the greddy ones I got also have a knurled finish on the water pump pulley that helps increase friction.

Gotham racing sells an OMP(oil metering pump) oil line kit, but someone just told me they called them and were told they're charging 100 bucks for EACH of the 2 lines. WTF. That is such...SUCH a rip off. All you need to do is get some -2 stainless steel braided hose and some clamps to clamp the hose over the ends of the stock banjo fittings.

wasn't super easy to find

and the stock lines use double pinch clamps...

http://www.mcmaster.com/asp/DisplCtl...RelatedCtlgPgs

probably just peel back the stainless braid and clamp the clamp over just the teflon.

For the pulleys, get a larger water pump and alternator pulley (if available) and stick with the stock main pulley to maximize belt contact area.

You probably want a Datalogit to use with your PFC -- you'll need it to enter your larger secondary injectors, as you can only enter up to 1500 cc/min with the Commander. There are other ways around this (scale both your primary and secondary inj sizes by the same factor to maintain smooth running across the phase-in of the secondaries). However, your best bet is just to get a Datalogit and enter the real sizes. The Datalogit is great for tuning, too, especially with a wideband hooked up for logging with the Datalogit (and the knowledge to use it). Whatever the case, you will want to get the car tuned with a wideband.

Negative, Ghostrider .

The pair cost $99, and I can assure you that they are not a ripoff. Try and duplicate them with the proper fittings, and you'll come to about the same price, prolly save a coupla bucks. Try and ghetto-rig it, save some cash, and watch as you develop all sorts of fun oil leaks.

Ask around the forum for opinions, and I think you'll find that we have a reputation built up........and not as rip off artists.

Hose clamps will not hold the oil pressure. Either stay with the stock lines or purchase the proper stainless ones. This is not a smart place to pinch pennies. Btw, stock lines are about $40 a piece so the ss ones don't cost much more.

$99 for the pairs sounds good. I'm sure you'll agree however, that if they did cost $99 each, then that would be a ripoff

I'll PM you for shipping details.

Bollocks! I knew there was something I forgot, datalogit. I didn't know the commander couldn't size up to 1600cc. Would have had some problems there

Thanks

Good to know

I agree 99 bucks isn't a bad deal for both lines.

same time...ghetto-rig isn't always bad. Especially when you don't have hardly any pressure in the lines to begin with. The stock lines use a double clamp over a teflon line...I don't consider duplicating stock as "ghetto-rigging"

I have purchased stuff from Gotham in the past...and will again in the future.
