This stuff is really easy to work with and install, I'd recommend it. It's supposed to hold up as good as braided anyways. http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant..._Code=ATP-OIL1

I did the ss braided line oil drain and feel it was a waste of money since those an fittings are pricey. I'f i were going to do it again, i would just use the line that Trots posted. I can't even see my oil drain anyway.

yes, the flange mounting holes need to be widened outwards a bit in order to bolt up to the block. Pretty much all drain flanges are the same dimension.
Again, I'd suggest going with the flexible 5/8" hose I lined at th top, it's much easier to work with and cheaper than SS. Does the same job...

there is a larger adapter at the atp site:

http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant...egory_Code=FLA

do you think that this will fit better?

also there is a flange for the silicone hose you mension :

http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant...egory_Code=FLA

there are two sizes : one for "gt15 to 35/40" and one for "t3/t4 and larger turbos".

can anyone please tell whitch is the suitable for the fd?
thanks

Check here Achilles

http://www.a-spectuning.com/store/in...index&cPath=13

This flange fits perfectly on the block it was made for out kits.

http://www.a-spectuning.com/store/in...products_id=56

If you have no OMP this one works even better, for either the front of the block or the bottom of a 35R CHRA as it is narrower than the standard gasket matched ATP flanges. It is also angled to keep it away further away from the front cover bolt as well as the the turbine housing on the 35R's.

Hope that helps.

Look at the bottom of the turbo and see wether its the smaller GT35R style drain or engine block or if it is the larger style drain such as this one.....

http://www.a-spectuning.com/store/in...products_id=57

Yes that is the correct one if you have the OMP.

Achillea, if you want you can just take the gasket and make a flange instead of buying one. The bigger the oil return line is the better.

Sean,
i measured the holes distance on my turbo oil outlet and it is about 52mm. should i use the larger :

http://www.a-spectuning.com/store/in...products_id=57

?

is the ss braided line enouth for the temperatures or should i use the silicone tube?what do you suggest??i assume that the hardlined is better but i have no way to do it.

thanks!!

Manny: Is the original hard-line that comes from your turbo curved??? I WANT THAT! Where can i get one for a GT35r?

I'm currently having an issue with my oil drain fitting; it is very short and it is straight. So the return line actually touches the manifold/turbo flange. Even with heat shielding it gets toasted after about 1500 miles.

I adapted the TII oil drain line to the REW flange.

The front case can be opened to 3/4".

It uses a bellows to allow for slight expansion/misalignment.

52mm mean you will need the larger one yes. If you're talking about the braided lines we use yes, if you're talking about the standard aeroquip stuff you will want to get a length of thermal sleeving to cover it. Straight fitting tend to sit close to the manifold and will dry out the rubber of the hose.

Do i need to remove the turbo to install the line?
do i first bolt the AN finings on the flanges and then the flanges to the engine and to the CHRA?
thanks!!
