Oil drain line routing and shielding

hi,
i just finished my oil line upgrade with an10 ss one.
i have a single turbo setup and i wonder if it is ok to use the rear oil drain instead the front.the rear it is much easier for me to work on.
is it a problem with heat or else? the line is placed about 1.5 in below the exaust mani.

if it is a problem , can i insulate it and with what material?( i assume that it must be a wrap on and not slide through since i have the end fitings fixed in the line)

thanks

I have a similar set up and I didnt put any shielding because its harder to detect if your leaking oil. But I would go with the DEI I used that on the coolant and a few other lines stuff works good.
