OIl blowing everywhere, smokes a little after a hard run?

Ok I got a fresh turbo, and this is a cosmo 13b. I think I know why its doing this. someone said I need to hook up a PCV valve, so I can get crackcase ventilation.. Now what PCV? I think you hook it to the upper most part of the oil system, like at the top of the filler neck.. Any suggestions comments?

Yup. There is a 5 star thread on this, if you go look for it. It was started by BuckeyeAuto.

You just need to make sure the crankcase can breathe - that's all there is to PCV. If you block off the nipples on the oil filler neck, you'll pressurize the crankcase and have oil back up in the turbo.

You can either open air vent the nipples, or hook them up to a catch can.

A PCV valve is just a one-way check valve. The crankcase vent is plumbed back into the intake stock for emissions reasons, that's why you need the valve.

I left my PVC in place and vented the nipple on the rear of the filler cap to a small K&N. That took care of my excessive oil pressure and blowing oil after extended boost problems.

the one on the filler neck is open and the one on the middle housing is open, the middle housing is where the oil is coming out now.. So I need to block the middle housing and hook a PCV to the upper filler neck nipple and then to manifold vacuum?

usally if you have excessive oil blowing out the breather its because of a stuck seal in the motor.....the onlt thi could reccomend is put a piece of 3/8 hose from the breather on the filler neck to a catch can.... you dont need a pvc valve! try that, if it fills up the catch can with oil after 100 miles or less, you definatly have a stuck side seal , or corner seal!

I dont get it, if you drive moderately, it is fine, give it hell and it is fine then allow it to sit is when it will start smoking, usually after a minute or 2 of idling..

My oil pressure is fine whether Im running 15 psi or in the vac area.

Seems a lot of people have this problem, so I hope its not the motor...

Besides I used a rotary engine compression tester and the compression is PERFECT.

So im clueless, no biggy to me, if it smokes I know its lubricating...

On about 3 good hard runs, it may drop out about 1/4 of a tea spoon, but on my pretty motor, and especially around the Mazda on the 2nd rotor hosuing it kinda scarey

In about 200 miles I have wiped it off 3 times, it is minor but still if theres an easy fix id be happier...

Ran it pretty hard the other day and my Bov has oil coming out around it. I was informed that maybe my drain isnt quite right. It goes down and then goes level, and then down again to the front cover...

I think Im gonna do the catch can thing as you suggest, and then maybe get some sort of a crankcase ventialation set up on there. Maybe If I pull some vacuum in the oil pan, it will aid in sucking the oil back into the oil pan from the turbo...

you dont need a vacuem pump! if there is oil inside the i/c piping i would investigate further, see if the intercooler has oil buildup, maybee bad turbo seal , your turbo drain seems ok....

sounds like turbo issues to me, be it the oild drain or bad seals.
the way i run my catch can is no check valve, and on the outlet of the can (where the filter usually is) i run that line in to the air intake for the turbo so that the more boost you make the more vacuum is sucked out of the engine! works great and this is how the third gen set is except no catch can.
