i bought an xs power manifold and fitment as far as bolting up to the motor was fine. I had no problems with it. The one problem i did find is that once i bolted up my to4r turbo, is that the turbo wasnt facing straight on, it was kinkded slightly to the right a bit, but thats all.

I had no trouble bolting the turbo to it, and everything went together nice and flat. The same is true for when i went to bolt on my tial 44mm wastegate. V-band flange and all went together smooth as butter

and once its running, we will see how well it holds up, but im pretty sure it wont dissapoint me

have use 2 of them...

1st:
Weld a flange 3/4" thick to fit a T3/62-1 Turbonetics turbo (more weight)... had to drill out holes for engine flange. Installed their 50mm WG...NOT any WG fit or any other single problem thereafter....1 year, 430 whp

2nd:
Bolt-on directly with no mods, had to put some washers in the passinger engine mount to fit the new T-72 Turbonetics Compressor.... Not any problems yet... 6 moths, 450whp (.81 a/r)

resently swap a 1.15 a/r and still fit everything well... not dyno yet but she feels like 500+ whp at 28 psi ...

We have had a few cars in here running those manifolds and no problems. I think they had around 5000 miles on them.

anyone ever use the ebay manifold for track use. Like a full day off 30min track use? Can these manifolds really take the heat, or am i better of off with the hks cast unit. Its for an fd.

I've held one in my hand that was glued together. It was stamped with XS Power or Power XS....something like that on the compressor housing. And it was in fact glued together. I'm not saying they all are....but at a minimum it shows thier quality control is very low.

This is my first post guys, and I'm relatively new to the rotary world, but I have quite a bit of experience with turbo projects on other cars. I have ordered two of the EBay FD manifolds as I have worked to build up my single turbo 93 FD. There seems to be two versions of the manifold. I believe they were revised in the past 6 months. The first manifold I bought had very thin flanges at 3/8", had 2 1/4" piping which was a bit large IMO, had poor welds, and had minor fitment issues for the engine flange. Other than that it was fine! I ended up playing with it for a while before throwing it away. Luckily I had picked it up for $80 with shipping so it wasn't a horrible loss. As I was playing around on EBay last week I noticed that the ones posted now looked a bit different and looked suspiciously like the budget manifold that rx7store includes with their kits. I believe the guys at rx7store just weld a 44mm Tial flange on to it. I ordered the newer one at $110 with shipping and was surprised at the difference. The flanges are now 1/2" thick, have 2" piping and actually fits right. The pipes are welded inside and out at the flanges and the welds are TIG with good penetration. As yet I haven't run the manifold so I can't vouch for the longevity and cracking issues when in use. However, if you are building your own kit I'd go with the new version. If you are buying the kit from Jason at rx7store I wouldn't hesitate to get the budget kit from them. From my experiences with those guys, they wouldn't sell you junk. From what I can tell, the way to tell the two apart is that the bad version has the inner portion of the T4 flange squared off, while the "good" version's flange is ported and rounded off where it meets the piping.

caredden's manifols just cracked. He had it for 4 months / I dont know how much time he has on it because he is in the service. It was like many others we've seen. I guess the money you save to make it fit and now to R&R it plus the down time it is a good deal....
