Noob help!!!

I am new to the turbo engines. I have an 84 Gsl. I am getting a streetported 13b s5 n/a engine. I am also getting a Garrett TO4B polished .60/.95. Can you tell me how big this turbo is? What kind of numbers can be expected running on 7-8 psi?

I don't have any other info on the turbo at this time. Just let me know what you need as far as info wise and I will get it. I dont know if I am running intercooler or water injection.

How can anyone possibly make any type of guess without knowing what the hell he has?? YOU CAN'T (and expect to be remotely accurate). Were going to need a lot more info. Asking what turbo you have by describing the compressor and turbine A/R numbers is like asking "what kind of shoes do I have on, there a size 10". We'll need a precise measurement of the compressor and turbine wheels both major and minor diameters if the person your buying it from doesn't know what the turbo is. Just a little advise, don't buy something you know nothing about, it just me be worthless to you.

true.... as mike said... when i said good tune that is meant in the good sense of the word, ie all supporting mods, good manifold design, ratios and trims as dicussed in other thread, fuel as needed. if any of these is lacking then you cant have a good tune, ie forget the number. yes if its not a to4b which is precisely measured as mike said then you can end up with a peice of paper weight.

to4b threads are all over. we just read on it a week ago. and 350 was the figure quoted on that thread... once again the word good tune was mentioned. i would not want to be presumptious, but, i asked other peoples opinion in the matter too. i quoted a figure that is constantly associated with the turbo.... like quoting circa 400 bhp with a 60-1....

Mike thanks for actually hitting the nailon the head though. it was just an educted guess mine... perhaps assuming a bit too much

Gotcha, I know I really should look into this turbo again. I guess I just get caught up in the moment and can't control myself on what I really need to know. I will get back with you guys with all the information and see if you guys think it is a good buy or not.
