New PFS build

Well, Ray finished her up Friday. I didn't get to stick around to see her get tuned, but I still need to break her in. So, the number aren't important right now anyway. But I was glad to be there for the first start. I was blown away by how much louder she was. Here are a few pics. I took some video, but can't seem to download it from my phone.

Well here goes: full bridge, dowed and clearanced, borg warner 67mm turbo wrapped in heat blanket as well as wrapping the down pipe, water/meth kit- all running off of an Apexi fc commander; added an ACT 6 puck clutch, lightweight flywheel, carbon fiber drive shaft and a diff cradle; also added a a/f gauge, oil temp gauge and a water temp gauge

Sounds like a beast like ernie said. hey camakr33 did you notice the difference in the carbon fiber drive shaft. and what they are. except for the obvious faster acceleration

He said he had to break it in first before it was fine tuned.

186 miles down, 814 to go. Damn it's hard to stay below 4500rpm. I feel like a reformed crackhead walking down north ave. It's sooooo tempting to put my foot to the floor but I know it will be worth the wait.

How long did it take PFS to do your build? the car really sounds great. Bet it will be a monster when you finally get it tuned for some real boost.

About 1 1/2 mo. Good work takes time and it's never wise to rush a craftsman. ray knew that I wanted it to be a beast, but also wanted it to be a thing of beauty. Not only is he the Einstein of the tuning world, but he's also a phenomenal fabricator (and that's saying something coming from a guy who designs and builds custom cabinetry for a living). Ray, if you're out there my friend, hats off to ya!!!

It was at the shop for a bit longer, but once he got into it it went pretty fast. It's never an all day everyday thing. He had guy's come in for tuning, down time waiting on materials, the normal kind of **** that delays a project. Nothing that's not to be expected from a major build.

Be patient. And keep in touch with him. I think he's starting to get caught up. I also own a small business that is specialized, and understand his problems. You'll be happy at the end.

Thumbs up pfs

I'm not tryng to be nostalgic or anything, but I really think that Ray having brought PFS back to the forefront of the Rotary community, is a truly great thing. A lot of the older guys on here had nothing but PFS parts on their cars. Hell a buddy of mine still runs the catback. Many of the parts still float around here, and are on loads of cars. Congrats to Ray and the new staff at PFS. Keep up the good work, and as soon as I win the lottery, I.'ll bring you my car. Awesome car man. As are all the cars I've seen come out of there recently.
