Need more info on the GT4088

Anyone out there have anymore info on this turbo? I am looking into replacing my Garrett T-70. I need to know how fast it spools and if anyone has tried a 4" DP on it. Any additional info would be great.

I think the GT4088 is the non ball bearing version of the GT40R.

I have A-Spec's AP-88 turbo kit... I wonder if this is the turbo that they use? It seems very similar in size to the GT40R, is not ball bearing, and A-Spec uses "88" in the name.
How can I tell? Sean, can you chime in?

It is based on the 4088. I sold a few three or four I think, each one was slightly different in either trim or A/r. I was machining or mixing and matching them to each customers needs. It is a good solid turbo. On your wheel I believe you could read right off the comp map. I think we changed yours to a smaller A/r on the rear. It runs about 70% eff@20lbs and it will crap out at about 25lbs on streetported motors. We originally did one with a 56trim wheel with a broader map, that was the one I was wanting to try and sell more of, but the wheel came next to impossible to get ahold of. Hope that helps someone.
