NEED Help! HKS wastegate problems???

Just bought a 93 single turbo with xs engineering t04s turbo with hks wastegate.

I just changed the spring on the WG and need to know how the WG functions. I know how a internal works but, have NO idea at all how a external works. It has two nipples for hoses and have no idea what goes where and what it does?

If you put the hose from the boost controller to the top of the WG, wouldn't that hold the spring and not let the WG open????

Planning to tune my car soon, so I need this baby put back in one piece!
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!

Run a line from the bottom nipple to the boost controller, run the line out of the boost controller to your boost source right off the turbo.

OK, there are 2 nipples on the WG. From my understanding the top nipple goes to the "out" of the boost controller. The side nipple of the WG goes to a non-vacuum boost source, and this line should tee into the boost controller "in" nipple.

Is this right? We need to get this WG working right so we can get 1badd7's car on the dyno
