Is a NA 6 Port Turbo Conversion Safe?

I have 87 FC and I was thinking of doing a T2 swap but I was just wondering first if I were to get a street port and a rebuild and put a single turbo on it would it be as reliable as a T2 13B. This might be a stupid question to some of you but my rotary knowledge is very minimal and I'm just tryna learn some stuff, thanks in advance!

The conversion is safe If done properly and properly tuned. There are write ups on the forum on how to do it, If you're serious, plan on a lot of research, making some custom parts and a minimum budget of $2000. It can be done cheaper but cheaper is typically more expensive in the long run. Building a reliable mildly modified t2 swap is going to cost about the same plus the cost of block itself, but be capable of making more power safely. As far as the streetport, it won't effect reliability at all so long as it's done properly.

^This.
Many people have done it, and succeeded. As long as you can understand that there is very little about your engine that is ideal for a turbo, then proceed accordingly, you should be okay.
