My turn for A-Spec's 35/40

I have a few bases of comparason, though I haven't driven those, but all I can say is that I'm happier than a pig in ****!

I had installed the kit myself and they tuned and fabbed up a few things for me. I couldn't be happier (until I lose to something faster).

Unbelieveable spool and great throttle response. Steve (as always) did a kick *** job. Sean fabbed up some IC piping for me. (Sean, if you did anything else, thanks for that too)!

As soon as I can, I will get some dyno and 1/4 mile #s for you, though I haven't intended this to be a drag car, more of a track one.

I will try to post pics tonight. They will be in a sub directory of this: http://railgun69.homeip.net/Temp%20RX7/2003%20Upgrades/.

Anxiously awating my first new kill.

do you think your fuel pump is holding you back? What psi did you guys tune up to and how can you tell if you are pushing your fuel pump too much?

what spark plugs are you using

nice pictures glad you are happy pal : )

I'm using stock plugs. 9's all around. I'm tuned to 15 on pump. I'll tune to 100 sometime. Probably 18-20 PSI then. I don't think that my pump is holding me back at this point since I'm relatively conservatively tuned. I'll get stats when I pay more attention to it. I'd have to say once my pressure starts to drop as my duty cycle increases that would be a good indicator that the pump isn't up to the task.

It's almost like I have to relearn to drive this thing. The deleted PS is really interesting to say the least. Fortunately I didn't tear through anything when I pulled it so if I don't like it I can easily replace it. Plus, from driving the last 10 months with the clutch on my Saturn, this is like pressing down on a tank.

As far as the pics, those are obviously not the completed ones.

Bricke...I forgot that I need two more tachs for the turbine and compressor, though I don't know that any manufacturer would make something that can read that high.

So it's all tuned and broken in now? I've only ridden in one single turbo FD and that was 2 years ago. I was in Poweraxle's once when I was there but I can't remember which turbo he was running at the time.

He had a T51R at one point I believe. I was in it once, but I think the turbo was half dead at that point. It crapped out on him on the way back from RX-7 Rev in '03. I don't know what he had before that.

No break-in needed.

I haven't hit the dyno yet. I'll let you all know when I do.

I don't know what route you went in deleting the P.S., but i absolutely LOVE my Maval Gear fully-converted rack. Mine is a full street car running on 255-series front tires... and after a month or so, i'm totally used to it. It does take a bit, but i don't even think about it anymore.... and it absolutely ROCKS on the track. Many thanks to Jim LaBreck for the idea.
