Dude!!!! That has to be one of the cleanest and meanest fab jobs I've seen in ANY gen RX7. Shiet, will you come down here and weld my stuff? So is that your real job or just your hobbie?

that is awsome work,
congratulations.
it looks more like a piece of modern sculpture than an autopart.
you did all that welding/cutting/fitting yourself???
very impressive, i've got no clue how good it'll work,
but very impressive

It should not crack, the wall thickness is .125" and from what I've heard, the main reason for 304 manifold failure is due to the fact that they used braces to help support the turbo, 304 and all S.S. really like to move alot under differant temp's (expand and contract). When you use braces you dont let the matirial move and it end's up tearing it's self apart. The tubing size it's self should be plenty strong to hold up 30lbs or so, And I will not use any braces. Just to be safe though I might get it CRYO treated to relieve any stresses that might already be in the manifold.
If you must use braces, I would use something that can flex a little. Maybe with some rubber bushings at one end that you can preload or something.

i think it sounds mean, but almost annoying at times.

I'd consider letting it dump into atmosphere on a weekend car but not on a daily driver.
