i hope the car will be done before the cookout but we have had nothing but problems since the day i started the conversion. first the turbo kit that i had purchased from another forum member turned out to be blown, then i couldnt decide on what turbo kit i wanted to go with, and now we have been waiting on the wastegate to arrive for a couple of weeks. it was ordered from the rx7store on sept. 16 and they said that it was in stock, finally after many promises from them to have the wastegate were broken, the order had to be cancelled and the wastegate was purchased elsewhere. so pretty much its a waiting game for the wastegate to arrive. the car has been ready all except the wastegate for over a week now.

i gotta tell ya, Chris and Elaine at Banzai have been sooo patient and helpful throughout this whole ordeal and i would strongly recommend them to anyone!

.82 hotside. i was looking for around 400hp at 15-17psi with quick response. so thats what we decided on. ill probably get used to it and by next spring or early summer i may end up going with a larger turbo along with the water/meth injection and ignition amp. i just ran into a shortage of funds by getting screwed with a blown turbo kit.

Who told you the wastegate was in stock? Banzai ordered that from me and I told them it was not in stock and had to order it. Get your facts straight before coming on here and talking ****.

Per this email recieved at 11:09 am on September 18th, 2006 WE informed our customer of the order status:

"HI,

I have all of those items in stock. Let me know when you are ready for me to run the card.

Thanks

Jason"

We kept our cutomer updated frequently with information regarding this order, as it has delayed the project.

Then you didnt get the email I sent after that stating the Wategate was not in stock. How about the 5 other emails letting you know we were still waiting on it. This was not ordered yesterday. You had the chance to cancel anytime and go elsewhere if someone else had one. I can only ship items as fast as the distributer gets them.

I love it how people think I make these here and I should just pull one out of my ***.

The email that stated you were waiting on that part from your distributor was received on October 5th. at 6:10 pm.

"Hi,

Sorry for the delay. My distributer is still waiting on that from HKS. Im trying to get an ETA on that.

Jason"

We are not saying that you did not tell us that you were "waiting on it". But that when initially ordered, the items were supposedly "in stock" . Otherwise, we would have ordered it elsewhere, as we were on a time crunch, per cutomer request.

Unfortunately, the customer is now dissapointed that the projected delivery date was not met, and is a little angry.

We just want to clarify that we did not pass on mis-information to our customer. We are not liars.

I understand and Im not mad at you. The way bigcox worded it was rude in my opinion. The only promises I make to people are that they will get their product and Im not going to steal their money. I dont ever make a promise on ship dates because I know that most of the time ship dates are completely off.
If I sent an email to someone and let them know an item is delayed or not in stock they have every right to cancel and go elsewhere. Doesnt hurt my feelings and would prefer it because some customers are going to blame me for all of their problems in life along with the backordered item.

Jason, I never intended to "talk ****" and i never intended to be "rude". I didnt get on here and make a thread ranting about how my car wasnt finished bc the wastegate we ordered wasnt here, I made a thread showing the progress of my car and how it was nearly finished. i never once mentioned the wastegate until asked if the car would be ready for the bbq. also i never posted anything that was false, so please dont try to discredit my post. You stated in an email on sept. 18 that the wastegate was in stock, and the next email that you sent on october 5th, 17 days later, states that you do not have the wastegate. so my "broken promises" statement that you considered "rude", could be viewed by some as pretty generous considering i could have said that you LIED about the part being in stock and delayed the completion of my car.

I dont want to argue about this because its not worth it, but I told them well before the 5th that the wastegate was not in stock. Dont you think they would have asked a few days after ordering it where it was because we are only 2 days away in shipping and they got the rest of the stuff in a couple of days? It didnt take them 17 days to ask where the wastegate is.

While very entertaining lets get back to the important stuff,

That is a T4footprint on a T3 volute (A/r) that's why it looks smaller depending on porting and setup expect to see 330-360 at about a bar. The plus side response will be very nice. The downside you will have to push it harder to get the 400whp.

thanks for bringing the thread back. this motor has stock ports so i went with the smaller turbo to keep good response. and the T4 manifold leaves room to upgrade later. probably wont push it past 1bar this year but once i get used to it who knows what ill do.

He's running a T3 volute. It doesn't quite have the area of a T4. Plus I try and be conservative just a bit. If he has the stock ports as mentioned he will be looking in that area for sure. It will be a very fun car though the response will be hard to beat.

I have this turbo, with (I think) an earlier manifold setup. In any case, the best I've dyno'd is around 330HP @15psi, with a mild streetport. I was originally disappointed, as I was told it was good for 400HP. Still, I love it because there is NO turbo lag. On the street, it responds instantly. Something I've never seen discussed is part throttle response, and this turbo has it. Just ease into the throttle, and it goes.

This is a turbo has a .82 T4 hotside. Adam wanted fast spool up, this turbo will spool extremely fast. I personally run the 1.06 but I run a very aggressive port, my car spools up to 15psi at around 3300.
