UPDATE!

car just got a new paint, still same color but not that 15 year old red sun bleached one

tonight i started to assemble the engine, it is a piece of junk ill tell you, after more inspection alot of things were not what they should be... the front rotor got a dent on one face, the compression side of the front rotor housing is pushed out so bad i had to use a big hammer just to get the upper dowel in place (1mm off center!!!!!), im not going to use any extra dowels since all machined holes are oval.. im just putting it together so i can punish it some more before winter!! im building a new motor for next spring..

I like your work. I would like to see you not restrict the exhaust system. Please see the link provided like. I want to see your car kick some serious but, hence the reason I'm sharing.

Yeah your old 3" piping only flows 1000 cfm or so (3^2 = 9 * 115cfm/sq inch), which only supports 500hp, anything over that is just an uphill battle.

That's why I'm still waiting to hear hp number update!! You lazy bum!!

thanks man, looking forward to see your build!

first time today testing some highway pulls, added about 5% of fuel because of the exhaust/ic work. just made a few pulls since i didn't feel comfortable doing wot on cold street tires pushing this kind of hp.

the gates are opening to early and climbing up to 20psi, ran max 22,3psi tonight.
if you compare backpressure from the chart posted a few pages back you can see a pretty big difference, the afr's are also leaning to 11,0 towards high rpm (10.50 with last setup). still 10,5 at 5-6k rpm which i will lean out.

No time for dyno this week, will try to finally get a time on the car on sunday at the drag strip.. wish me luck

very nice data logging setup you got there.
yeah my car's pretty mild with a gt3582r T4 1.06 a/r divided housing. Streetported 13b-rew, and some other little minor stuff. hopefully have some money to do another motor build next summer, but we shall see.

frankly, with at least 600whp, I'd expect at least 220km trap speed, but then again, those things are not always accurate, and it's not bad for such a beat up motor...

best trap was 214km/h so there's some ponies missing, no time to tune it so i pulled some timing to be on the safe side just to get some runs.

im happy i can start the motor on these seals, they are not flat anywhere... also got one dented rotor so i had to "modify" the apex groove to make the apex fit

Is it me or does that track look like it going up hill? What tires are you using? Looks like your spinning too much out of the hole. Also what final drive ratio are you running? Looks like you barely got into fourth.

definitely looks like it's going up-hill! the tires look like Hoosier's drag radials on 15's.

Great Gus!, I also think it is slightly uphill... awsome numbers, right now the fastest rx7 in Sweden.

Think it took off rather well, tein flex, softest in the front half in the back? Does anyone else recommend something else?

a 1.62 60' isn't bad. But there's always a bit of time to shave off. It looks like his backend is a little loose, it bottoms out, breaks out, catches, and bottoms out again.

the backend shouldn't be bouncing during launch, it should just squat and plant.
