msd knock box on an s5 motor

Hey guys been running the msd knock box for a while however just through the stock knock sensor on instead of the msd sensor. I've yet to ever get any knock reading using this sensor so I was thinking it's about time to through on the msd sensor. My question is none of the fittings that came with the knock sensor seem to fit the s5 motor. Was wondering if any of you guys might know, off the top of your head, which fitting I need. Thanks.

oh yeah the part number is msd 8964. Thanks.

on my J&S box, it came with a bosch knock sensor that looked like a donut, and it was supplied with a stud that threaded into the old knock sensor hole, and the bosch sensor slid over it and bolted down. What does the MSD one look like?

Just test it by tapping the sensor or the surrounding area with a wrench or something, if it doesn't light up then try to adjust the sensitivity setting if you have one.

I'd do that before changing the sensor..

this is what the unit looks like.

As far as tapping the stock knock sensor that's a good idea however I've got my knock sensitivity all the way up. I'll try it out as well as the msd sensor to see what's up. Thanks for the good idea.

Well I ended up trying to tap the original sensor and it didn't give any readings on the box so I used the sensor it came with and all seemed to work well. Maybe a falty 20+ year old knock sensor. Anyways the adapter fitting it came with didn't take much effort to install into the original knock sensor hole so I think it should work fine.
