Question MSD Box's???

I am running a 40R kit, built motor, 1600cc and 850cc... and so on.. I will be running a LTXS8 with t4 bosch coils.

I am just wondering what ignition boxes to run. I was looking in summit, and I am not sure what exactly I want. I know I need two, but which too. I was looking at the MSD-6AT or MSD-6A or MSD-6AL. I am not sure if this is what I need.

My goal is to see 500rwhp at around 20psi... And I would like to see more after further tuning.

I want this system to have no problems. I rather buy the best stuff the first time around.

What are you guys using?

to run the msd setup you will need one of the msd 6 series boxes. and a msd dis2 box...

I emailed msd a while back and got a wiring diagram for it. if you want i can email it to you.

Your trailing ignition channels need two, discrete ignition channels.
Just the trailings would require ONE DIS-2 or TWO 6A's.

Your leadings require just one ignition channel into a twin-tower coil or two CDI boxes into two single-tower coils.
A single DIS-2 on the leadings is a waste of time on one twin-tower coil but cannot fire a pair of single-tower coils both at the same time.

This, it's typically a Digital-6+ or 6A on the leadings, and a DIS-2 on the trailings.
Or three 6A's...
Or three Digitial-6's...
Or four 6A's or Digital-6's into four single-tower coils...

No, you cannot fire a single DIS-4 box into your 3 channels of the stock RX-7 ignition.
Do a search for the details.
I've repeated this numerous times.

You can do this with the AEM or the Autronic unit.
