Methanol Magic: 500+ on the street
That makes sense. The injector is spraying tiny droplets of methanol. While the droplets are tiny the methanol is still in its liquid phase. It needs time for it to change phase between liquid and vapor. I am sure there is some way to model this either by doing some rough calculations or using CFD. the only thing i can forsee causing problems with creating the ideal setup is that the intake manifold air velocities will change based on load and rpm and that the valves are opeing and closing. Basically for any intake velocity value there is an ideal place to stick your injector assuming you want the last droplet of methanol to vaporize the instant it enters the combustion chamber.
