Major Turbo Troubles

I have a 60-1 turbo ... with 12 blades 6 big an 6 small.....

OK here is the problem 6 of the big fins broken off ... Now when i go into boost when it reaches about 5 psi my car falls hard on its face ... when i release about half throttle it shoots off again .. do you guyz think its the trurbo... ???

I was thinking that the front part of the turbo wasn't supplying e-nuff air to the intercooler fast e-nuff for the hot end... an was causeing the turbo to flow in an off set manner.... just guessin at this point....

Get your turbo rebuilt. Of course there is a problem with it.

The compressor wheel being damaged wouldnt cause the car to fall on its face though would it?
i seized a turbo up completely once from running to small of a restrictor. the car ran fine but of course did not build any boost. it was like running N/A.

Your turbo is still screwed up. There is no way it is still balanced. I'm glad your car is running better, but you need to fix the turbo too. It is a time bomb to run it unbalanced. Either it will come apart the rest of the way as the wheel has been very stressed, or it will kill the chra.

If you want a different one, I've got a T04R w/ 5k miles up for grabs. .84 hot side.
