single turbo E85 question

i live here in the midwest where e85 pumps are more readily available than anywhere else and gas prices have just been climbing up and up past 4 bucks/gal now so i'm thinking about tuning my single turbo setup for e85.

so my question is:
are there many single turbo setups out there running e85 as a streetable everyday car here in the midwest? if so, what are your experiences with it? if you can get e85 easily, is it worth switching over to it?

i hear it's higher octane and better cooling properties during the compression face so it's safer to tune with and drive hard. in theory this is all good but what about in real life?

it is a great fuel. There will be alot of fuel system upgrades needed to run ethanol. Also you will be burning almost twice as much fuel by volume to make the same power as gas. I beleve E85 is way over 100 octain, so if you can get enough of it in your motor you can make big reliable power. Hope that helps

ya it does. i just read crispeed's 471 on E85 thread and there was good info there too. thanks.

the way i see it, with gas prices now, e85 costs a little less but u have to burn a little more so it comes to about same fuel spending but with the race fuel and AI advantages.. so i still come out on top.

this is of course if i take all the E85 precautions like using premix and extra injector.
